Position Description

• The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for oversight of all aspects of medical care provided, including primary, prenatal, psychiatric, and pediatric care.
• The Chief Medical Officer is expected to work closely with the Medical Director(s), Chief Nursing Officer, and the Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to the CEO, in delivering high-quality care and improving patient access.
• The CMO provides leadership and guidance to the medical staff and promotes effective communication among the medical staff, administration, and the Governing Board. The CMO serves as the conduit of communication with the medical staff and all sites.
• The CMO provides direction and oversees medical staff activities related to assessing and promoting continuous improvements in the quality of services and all other functions of the medical staff in regulations, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications

• Physician License Board of Medicine, required.
• Three years of clinical leadership experience preferred.
• 10-15 years of clinical experience.

• Maintains updated knowledge of Clinical excellence.
• Maintains a strong connection with the medical staff and the nursing team.
• Ability to effectively lead staff to provide access to integrated care efficiently, outstanding public presence representing the organization, the ability to form partnerships, and the foresight to develop new programs that improve patient care.
